Introduction to Natural Dyeing! Learn what to dye: protein fibers, wool or silk, cellulose fibers, cotton, bamboo, hemp. We will discuss scouring and mordants and the process for both types of fibers.

Work with your choice of color: Marigold- yellow, Coreopsis- orange, Sulfur Cosmos- orange, Black walnut- brown

PLUS** bundle dyeing!

Please supply what you would like to dye, some suggestions:

MUST be 100% natural fiber: wool, silk, cotton, hemp, bamboo, linen (can have rayon, but no polyester)

a skein of yarn

3 fat quarters of fabric

2 tea towels

2 pillow cases…..
